Porto di San Nicola

Tucked into the southwest corner of San Nicola island, this tiny marina is one of the very few places to tie up across the entire Tremiti archipelago — dock space is extremely limited, with room for only a couple of boats at most. It's a raw, unhurried spot where local fishermen stop by to sell their catch straight off the boat, and the medieval Abbey of Santa Maria a Mare looms above you on the clifftop. Don't count on facilities here — come for the setting and the rare chance to overnight on this car-free, protected island.
