Sa Calobra

Sa Calobra is one of those places that genuinely stops you in your tracks — you anchor off and find yourself tucked beneath dramatic vertical cliffs on the northwest coast of Mallorca, deep in the Serra Tramontana mountains. Ashore, two wild pebble beaches are carved out by the Torrent de Pareis gorge, a striking natural canyon worth exploring on foot. The setting feels almost impossibly remote, though the famous hairpin road bringing cyclists and day-trippers down from the mountains means you won't have it entirely to yourself.
