Saltpond Bay

Saltpond Bay sits at the southeastern tip of St. John, tucked inside the boundaries of the Virgin Islands National Park and well off the beaten path compared to the busier north-shore anchorages. You'll anchor in 3–7m over sand with decent holding, but note the southern exposure means you should keep a close eye on weather before committing to an overnight stay. The reward for the extra effort is real seclusion, with the salt pond itself just ashore and solid snorkeling along the rocky edges of the bay.
