Second Beach

Sachuest Beach — locally called Second Beach — is a mile-long, south-facing stretch of great sand with solid surf, right at the foot of Sachuest Point. You anchor off and dinghy in; once ashore you've got restrooms, showers, and lifeguards on duty. The rocky headlands of Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge frame the beach on either side, making it one of the more scenic spots to drop the hook in Middletown.
