Skala

Skala is a charming village on the southern tip of Kefalonia, about 39 km from Argostoli, where you can drop anchor off a sandy shore and easily reach a lively strip of tavernas, bars, and shops on foot. The village has grown steadily into a popular spot without losing its relaxed feel, and it's well worth a wander — especially to see the ancient Roman villa with its well-preserved mosaic floors just outside the village center.
