Spanish Wells Anchorage

Drop anchor just off Spanish Wells, one of the most unique settlements in the Bahamas — a tight-knit fishing community on St. George's Cay where locals have worked the same waters for generations. The anchorage can get a bit crowded near the inlet, so you may want to set the hook a quarter mile or so back from the other boats to give yourself some swinging room. The vibe here is genuinely Bahamian but distinctly different — think well-kept homes, golf carts buzzing around, and a real working-town feel rather than a tourist trap. It's a great base for exploring nearby Eleuthera and the surrounding cays.
