Spiaggia l'Occhiale is one of Tropea's hidden gems on the Costa degli Dei — a tiny stretch of pale sand (just 70–80 metres wide) wedged dramatically between the sea and a towering cliff face. You anchor off and make your way in, rewarded with strikingly clear water and a secluded feel that the bigger beaches nearby can't match. Getting ashore isn't exactly effortless, but that's exactly what keeps the crowds away.
