Uvala Veliki Jakljan

Uvala Veliki Jakljan is an anchorage on Jakljan, one of the Elaphiti Islands northwest of Dubrovnik — and notably, the island is completely uninhabited. Drop the hook here and you get that rare sense of having a Croatian bay largely to yourself, though be aware the shoreline is a mixed bag: part paved, part untidy, with a couple of buildings breaking up the scenery. The water is clear and the greenery thick, so it's worth a swim and a look around before moving on.
