Vathiavali Beach

Vathiavali is a gorgeous stretch of fine white sand on the Aetolia-Acarnania mainland, sitting just opposite Lefkada island — anchor off and you've got crystal-clear, shallow waters that are brilliant for snorkeling. The beach is well set up with loungers, umbrellas, a tiki bar, showers and toilets, and the surrounding lush greenery gives it a secluded, tucked-away feel. Keep an eye out too — loggerhead sea turtles nest along this coastline.
