Tucked along the shores of Union Bay on the University of Washington campus, the Waterfront Activities Center is a low-key spot where you can rent canoes, kayaks, and rowboats and paddle out onto one of Seattle's most scenic urban waterways. The setting feels surprisingly peaceful given how close you are to the city, with views of the Cascade foothills and easy access to the Washington Park Arboretum by water.
