Worbarrow Bay

Worbarrow Bay is a wide, sweeping anchorage on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, tucked just east of Lulworth Cove in Dorset's Isle of Purbeck. You anchor off here and the reward is a strikingly remote shingle-and-sand bay framed by dramatic chalk and limestone cliffs. The area sits within the Lulworth Ranges, which keeps the crowds away and the coastline unspoiled — from the beach it's a mile's walk up to the eerie, abandoned village of Tyneham, frozen in time since the army requisitioned it in WWII.
