Gradska ura

Perched on top of an old town gate, this bright yellow clock tower is one of those quirky landmarks that somehow works perfectly despite looking totally out of place. It's the kind of thing you walk past, do a double-take, then end up photographing from five different angles. The contrast between the ancient stone gate below and the cheerful yellow tower above tells you a lot about how Istrian towns have layered centuries of history on top of each other.
