Arctic Cathedral (Tromsdalen Church)

The Arctic Cathedral is one of Norway's most striking modern churches — built in 1965, its jagged aluminum and concrete silhouette was designed to mirror glaciers and the northern landscape. Inside, a massive 'Return of Christ' glass mosaic dominates the east wall and is genuinely hard to forget. You can walk here from central Tromsø by crossing the bridge in about 20 minutes, making it an easy detour that punches well above its weight.
