Ponta Delgada has a handful of laundry options, with drop-off services being the most practical — places like Lavandaria Wash Now (in the Sol Mar building) can turn a full load around in about 3 hours for roughly €20. It's no-frills, but if you've been living out of a bag, having someone else handle it while you explore the city is hard to argue with.
