Housed in a former Franciscan convent in Mahón, the Museu de Menorca walks you through the island's entire history, from prehistoric talayotic settlements all the way to the 20th century. It's one of the best ways to make sense of the ancient ruins and monuments you'll spot across the island, with archaeological finds, artwork, and cultural artefacts all under one roof. Surprisingly absorbing, even if museums aren't usually your thing.
