Chiesa San Francesco d'Assisi
Church· 5 min from marina (399m)
This Franciscan church has roots going back to 1275, originally dedicated to the Immaculate Conception — making it one of Trapani's oldest places of worship. It's part of a larger complex that includes a convent of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, and over the centuries it absorbed the chapel of Santa Maria Egiziana as the complex expanded. The current look owes a lot to 17th-century renovations that reshaped the original 13th-century structure. Quietly layered with history, it's worth a look if medieval and Baroque religious architecture is your thing.
