Musée Régional d'Histoire et d'Éthnographie

Housed in a gorgeous 1887 bourgeois mansion on Boulevard Général de Gaulle, this compact museum takes you through daily life in Martinique during the 19th and early 20th centuries. It's a genuine step back in time, with exhibits on local history and ethnography — just know that everything is in French only, so brush up or bring a translation app. Entry is just €3 for adults, and under-12s get in for under a euro.
