Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

1 Avenue Ephrussi de Rothschild, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Attraction· 9 min from marina (726m)

Perched on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula between Nice and Monaco, this utterly over-the-top belle époque palace was built by Béatrice de Rothschild in the early 1900s and filled with her jaw-dropping collections of Sèvres porcelain, Flemish tapestries, and Impressionist paintings. What really sets it apart are the nine distinct themed gardens — French, Japanese, Florentine, and more — cascading down to panoramic Mediterranean views on both sides of the cape. You can easily spend half a day wandering the rooms and grounds.
