Marinska kula

Marinska Kula is a late 15th-century defensive tower built right on the cliffs at the water's edge in Marina, originally guarding the channel between the island and the mainland — and once only reachable by drawbridge. What makes it genuinely unlike anything else around is that it's now a functioning hotel, so you can actually sleep inside a centuries-old fortress jutting out into the Adriatic. It's the kind of place that sounds made up until you're standing in front of it.
