Museum of the Sea and Amphorae

This museum complex in San Benedetto del Tronto packs four collections under one roof, covering everything from ancient amphorae to the daily reality of Adriatic fishing life. The core collection grew from a 1988 private donation by Dr. Angelo Perotti, giving it a personal, curated feel rather than a dry institutional one. The section on fishermen's working lives — their boats, tools, and photographs — is especially striking, painting a vivid and unglamourized picture of how hard that life actually was.
