Saint Nicholas Fortress

Kula Sveti Nikola is a 16th-century Venetian fortress sitting on a small islet at the entrance to Šibenik's harbor, one of the best-preserved sea fortifications on the entire Adriatic coast. You can reach it by a short boat ride and explore the thick stone walls and bastions that once defended the city from Ottoman and pirate attacks. The views back toward the city and out to open sea from the ramparts are genuinely hard to beat.
