Merkez Eski Camii
Mosque· 2 min from marina (141m)
One of Marmaris's oldest surviving mosques, the Merkez Eski Camii was built in 1788–1791 by Mengenlizâde İbrahim Ağa, making it a genuine piece of late Ottoman history in the middle of a very modern resort town. You can find it on Kordon Caddesi in the Tepe neighbourhood, and the original founding inscription is still visible above the entrance. It's a quiet, grounding contrast to everything else going on around it.
