Ruiskumestarin talo
12 Kristianinkatu, Helsinki, FI
Attraction· 5 min from marina (407m)
Ruiskumestarin talo (the Burgher's House) holds the title of central Helsinki's oldest wooden townhouse, built in 1818 and still standing in its distinctive mustard-yellow colour on Kristianinkatu. Inside, you'll find hardwood floors, original fireplaces, and a rare glimpse into early 19th-century urban life in Helsinki. It's a quietly remarkable place that most people walk straight past without realising what it is. Note that it's closed for winter and reopens 2nd May 2026.
