Marmaris Museum

Marmaris Museum sits inside a 16th-century Ottoman castle on the hill above the harbor, giving you sweeping views over the town alongside the history. Inside, four exhibition halls take you through the region's past, including artifacts brought from the ancient city of Knidos in nearby Datça, plus Ottoman-era gravestones, cannons, and column fragments displayed in the garden. It's a surprisingly rich stop for such a compact space — air-conditioned rooms inside the castle walls make it easy to linger.
