Aldobrandeschi Fortress

Head down via Cavour and you'll stumble onto this recently restored medieval fortress, one of Grosseto's most striking landmarks. Inside, a compact but well-curated museum traces the region's layered history, and if you climb the tower, you're rewarded with sweeping views all the way to Mount Amiata. Beyond the museum, the space regularly hosts cultural events, so there's a good chance something's on when you visit.
