Molja Fyr has been guiding ships into Ålesund's harbor for over 150 years, and you can actually spend the night inside it — the lighthouse now houses a hotel room run by Brosundet. What makes it genuinely special is the scale: the interior is completely round and just 3 meters in diameter, so it's about as intimate and unusual a stay as you'll find anywhere in Norway. Even if you're not sleeping here, it's worth a stop just to take in the history and the harbor views right at the water's edge.
