Monumento Natural de los Ajaches

Los Ajaches is a volcanic massif stretching 7.5 kilometres across the southern tip of Lanzarote, and it's one of the oldest geological formations on the island. What makes it genuinely special is the layered history — you'll find Lower Pliocene fossils, ancient rock engravings, and traces of early farming all packed into one rugged landscape of ravines, cliffs, and caves. It's the kind of place that rewards slow exploration rather than a quick pass-through.
