Malta Maritime Museum

The Malta Maritime Museum in Birgu tells the story of Malta's deep ties to the sea, housed inside a former Royal Naval Bakery that's pretty remarkable on its own. You'll find everything from ancient seafaring artifacts to exhibits on Malta's 19th-century shipbuilding golden age, when this island was turning out vessels for trade across the Mediterranean. Note that it's currently closed for restorations, so worth checking ahead before you make the trip.
