Attraction· 3 min from marina (215m)
Uspenski Cathedral is the largest Orthodox cathedral in Western and Northern Europe, perched dramatically on the Katajanokka peninsula with its red-brick walls, green domes, and gilded cupolas visible from across the harbour. For just €5, you can step inside and find yourself surrounded by glowing icons and the lingering scent of incense — a world apart from anything else in Helsinki. The hilltop setting also gives you some of the best views over the city, making it well worth the climb.
