Historic Black Police Precinct Courthouse and Museum

480 Northwest 11th Street, Miami

Attraction· 11 min from marina (886m)

This is the only museum of its kind in the country, dedicated to preserving the history of Miami's Black law enforcement officers who were forced to operate out of a segregated precinct during the Jim Crow era. The building itself tells the story — Black officers couldn't arrest white suspects or even enter the main police headquarters. Stop by Tuesday through Saturday for a guided tour led by retired officers who bring the history to life in a way no exhibit panel ever could.
