Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: User bears entire cost of damages, negligence, or loss of equipment parts.

Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. At a typical planing cruise this boat's 300 HP engine burn roughly 45 L/h — about €84 an hour at €1.87/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.

At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

Yes. We ask you to provide the full list of crew members at the latest four weeks before your charter begins, along with completing payment by that time.

Yes. If we judge that the person at the helm lacks the knowledge or skill for the conditions, for example in challenging weather, we may forbid the boat from sailing. In that case you can arrange a skipper to gain the experience needed.

Yes. You may not sub-let or lend the boat to anyone else, take part in regattas, use it commercially or for professional fishing. You may sail at night only in safe weather conditions.

You are asked to stay within the territorial waters of Croatia for the duration of your charter.

Let us know straight away and you may carry out a repair after first notifying us. In the event of damage or an incident involving other vessels, report it to the local harbour master and prepare a written record for the insurer.
