Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit.

Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. Estimated from engine power: at a typical planing cruise this boat's 300 HP engine burns roughly 45 L/h — about €60 an hour at €1.33/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.

Not personally — a skipper is included with this boat and holds the licence. Generally, though: A recognised sailing licence is required and, by Maltese law, the skipper must also hold a VHF radio operator licence.
