Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?

Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: Acceptance of Charter Party terms and conditions is confirmed by taking delivery of yacht.

How much will fuel cost?

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~60 HP engines burn roughly 4.8 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 101 L ≈ €189 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.

Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?

At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

When is the best time to sail in Croatia?

May–October, with the most reliable maestral winds and warm seas in June–September; July–August are the hottest and busiest.
