Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The Owner insures the yacht and equipment against fire, marine and collision risks, third-party damage and other loss or damage in excess of the security deposit.

Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

The yacht is for private pleasure only. Racing, towing other craft (except in an emergency), subletting without our written consent, and carrying anyone not on your crew list are not allowed. Breaking customs, fishing or archaeological laws ends the agreement.

You must stay within Greek seas. Plan your route to reach the farthest port from Lefkada within the first third of your charter, and be within 40 nautical miles of the return point two days before the end.

You must not leave a port or anchorage if the wind is or is forecast to exceed Beaufort 6, or if the harbour authorities ban sailing. The same applies whenever conditions or the state of the yacht or crew make safety doubtful.

Your party must include at least one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member. We may ask you to show your competence by sailing the yacht with us aboard. If you don't pass, we may end the charter or place a seaman aboard at your cost.

Contact us before arranging any repair, because we must agree to it first. If the damage isn't from normal wear, you pay for it. For normal wear, keep your receipts and we will reimburse you at the end of the charter. After any accident, ask the nearest Port Authority to make a written record and tell us at the same time.
