Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.
Do I need a sailing licence in Sweden?
No formal licence is legally required for most charter yachts, but operators expect documented experience or an equivalent qualification (Sweden does not accept the ICC scheme).
When is the best time to sail in Sweden?
June–August in the Stockholm archipelago and west coast; short but pleasant season with very long daylight and generally light winds.
