Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The lessor insures the yacht against all navigation risks, special average and third-party liability. This insurance does not cover loss of or damage to belongings of the charterer and guests, or tort liability towards the charterer's relatives on board.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~70 HP engine burns roughly 5.6 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 118 L ≈ €230 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.

Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).

No. We do not allow animals of any kind on board.

The boat is for pleasure cruising only, so no carrying goods or paying passengers, and no sailing lessons. You need our written consent to leave Italian waters or to take part in races or regattas, and towing is only allowed in an emergency. Firearms and drugs are not allowed on board.

If wind or sea are or are forecast to go above Beaufort 5, you must stay in port or head to the nearest safe port. We are not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by weather or port authority orders, and you should plan your route so that you can bring your return forward if bad weather is forecast.

Tell us in writing within 24 hours, and only keep sailing if it doesn't make things worse or put anyone at risk. Get our written approval before paying for repairs so you can be reimbursed. If the boat is out of action for more than 48 hours, we refund the lost time pro rata.

You pay a penalty of twice the daily hire rate for each day or part of a day after a two-hour grace period, and possibly damages if the next guests are affected. Delays can't exceed five days and need our written authorisation.
