Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~40 HP engine burn roughly 3.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 67 L ≈ €125 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.

At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

No, the boats may not be used for any races without our written permission. If a boat is raced without our consent the insurance won't cover it and the skipper alone is liable for any damage.

Yes, please keep a private logbook during your charter and hand it over to the marina if any damage occurs. You're also expected to sail with good seamanship and respect the rules of the host country and its harbour authorities.

You may have minor wear-and-tear repairs done up to 200 euros and we'll refund the cost against the invoice, but anything beyond that needs our consent first. Always keep any replaced parts, otherwise the repair can't be refunded.

If you're in distress and must call for help, please agree reasonable terms beforehand where possible. If a tow is unavoidable and you can't reach us, use the yacht's own hawser.
