Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: Insurance and tax (including VAT) are included in the charter price. All yachts are insured against third-party liability, sea pollution, and damage to hull, machinery and equipment.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~54 HP engine burns roughly 4.3 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 90 L ≈ €176 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
What happens if the operator thinks my crew isn't experienced enough?
Our Base Manager can refuse to hand over the yacht at check-in if they feel the charterer can't safely manage it, even if you hold the right certificates. In that case you'll need to take a skipper to go ahead with the charter. If you'd rather cancel instead, no money can be returned.
Can I add a skipper or hostess to my charter?
Yes, a skipper is optional and the fee is paid in cash on embarkation day. You can also ask for a hostess when you contact us.
What's included in the charter price, and what do I pay for on top?
The price covers the yacht, safety and galley equipment, a dinghy, gas, bed linen and towels, and mooring on the first and last night. Food, drinks, toiletries, mooring and water or electricity during the trip are extra.
Do I need to clean the yacht before I hand it back?
Not if you take the Service Pack, which includes the end cleaning of the yacht. The fee is set in your quote and paid in cash at the marina when you board.
Can I book extras like airport transfers or water toys?
Yes, we offer airport transfers, Wi-Fi, water toys and a skipper or hostess. Just tell us what you'd like when you get in touch.
