Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

You may navigate within Croatian territorial waters. If you wish to sail beyond them, please let us know no later than 30 days before your start date.

Yes. If we or the base manager feel the skipper lacks the needed skills, we may ask you to take a professional skipper for an extra charge. If you'd rather not skipper yourself, name a qualified skipper before sailing; that person is co-responsible for the boat.

Please don't sublet the boat or use it commercially, including professional fishing or diving, and never operate it under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Please return the boat on time at the agreed place. A delay of less than 3 hours is charged at the daily rate, and any delay over 3 hours is charged at three days' rate.

Call us straight away on the numbers in the boat's documents so we can arrange a repair; if it's fixed within 24 hours there's no reimbursement due. For serious damage, an accident or injury, get an official report from the authorities, and if towing is needed always use the boat's own line and don't agree any salvage terms.

May–October, with the most reliable maestral winds and warm seas in June–September; July–August are the hottest and busiest.
