About this boat

Only a very small, exclusive number of Vision 450 sailing catamarans were built. Manufactured by Matrix Yachts in Cape Town, South Africa, this model was produced as a highly custom, boutique run, with generally fewer than 10 -12 hulls constructed. Because Vision yachts were custom built to mega-yacht standards for private owners and the premium charter market, production numbers for this particular 45-foot model were strictly limited. This is one of the only chartered Visions on the market and operates out of Yacht Haven Marina in Phuket. With brand new sails, and a complete interior overhaul- this boat is perfect for your holiday in the tropics. Watermaker, generator, airconditioning are available along with a free standup paddle board and snorkelling equipment.

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~78 HP engines burn roughly 6.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 130 L ≈ €148 at €1.14/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Thailand?
No sailing licence is required by Thai law, but charter companies require a sailing résumé showing experience on an equivalent boat.
When is the best time to sail in Thailand?
November–April is the dry northeast-monsoon high season around Phuket; May–October is the wetter, windier southwest monsoon.
