Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: Charter fees include insurance: yacht hull and machinery, third party liability and sea pollution.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~30 HP engine burns roughly 2.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 50 L ≈ €98 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
What does my co-skipper need to show?
Besides one certified skipper, your co-skipper either holds a sailing certificate or signs a short statement at the base declaring open-sea experience to assist the skipper. No proof of that experience is required.
What does the end cleaning cover?
End cleaning is obligatory and paid in cash when you embark. It covers cleaning the yacht, a spare bottle of cooking gas, and blankets, pillows, pillow cases, bed linen and towels (one set per person per week).
Can I add a skipper, hostess or other extras?
Yes, optional extras such as a local skipper, hostess or SUP can be arranged on request. They are not part of the base charter fee.
What if something goes wrong during my charter?
We run a 24-hour emergency service for all charters, so you can reach us at any time if you need help while sailing.
What if I leave something on board?
Please check that no personal items are left behind at check-out. If our team finds anything, we will let you know as soon as possible and arrange how to return it, though we can't be held responsible for lost items.
