Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: Boat must have obligatory insurance for third-party damage liability up to boat value. Boat must have Casco insurance in registered value.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~30 HP engine burn roughly 2.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 50 L ≈ €94 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.

Not for this boat — the operator charters it without a licence requirement. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

No. You may not use the boat for commercial or professional purposes, or for night fishing or similar activities, and you are responsible for everyone aboard behaving lawfully.

You must not leave a port or anchorage if the wind is, or is forecast to be, over 30 knots, or if the harbour authorities have banned sailing. Follow reliable weather forecasts throughout your trip.

You must not sail into any area not adequately covered by the charts on board, and you should study the charts and other printed aids for your area in advance.

Return the boat undamaged, clean and tidy, with a full tank of fuel, to the agreed drop-off point at the agreed time so it can be checked over.

If the boat is unavailable due to a fault on our side, such as a breakdown, we will provide a replacement boat of the same or better characteristics.
