About this boat

ROXANI is a 45ft (~14m) long Sloop built 2002 by ELAN in Slovenia. Very strong and sporty constructed by Rob Humphreys she cuts through the waves with up to 15 knots and above under sails and 8 knts under engine. It is really fun sailing her and she offers plenty of room: a tastefull interior from mahagoni wood in comfortable cabins and a wide salon and pantry. She has one bathroom with electric toilet, basin and shower, a second bathroom forward and a single shower cabin. In the cockpit is plenty of space, a big table, all covered by a large bimini. At the bathing platform is a shower with hot and cold freshwater. On the large deck we have large matresses for sun bathing. We have a complete new state of the art Navigation system from Raymarine, there is wifi on board a Fusion Soundsystem with wifi and bluetooth, you can stream from your phone, speakers under deck, in the cockpit and on deck. She was in the last two years completely overhauled and refit and is in a perfect condition. We are now in Thessaloniki/Kalamaria/Aretsou Marina for Serviceworks From April until mid of May you can book us from Thessaloniki. Then we are based in Porto Carras/Neos Marmaras in Chalkidiki. With the stunning view on Olympus are daycruises a perfect daytrip from Aretsou Marina in Kalamaria/Thessaloniki. The Marina is very easy to reach from the airport and the City of Thessaloniki. Our base in Porto Carras is truly the finest port you can find in northern greece. The Marina is part of the Porto Carras Grand Resort with 5-star Hotel, Casino, Golf, Tennis, beautiful pool lancscape and golden sandbeaches with beachbars and restaurants. The Ressort composes the southern end of the bay of Neos Marmaras, a lovely grown up fishing village with fine shops and tavernas. All facilities of the Grand Resort Porto Carras are of course open for our guests too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Charterer must carry independent insurance for Personal Effects whilst on board or ashore and for any Medical or Accident expenses. Cancellation and Curtailment insurance not included.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~54 HP engine burn roughly 4.3 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 90 L ≈ €176 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Who runs the boat, and what does the skipper decide?
We provide a qualified, certified crew. The skipper will follow your reasonable wishes for where and how you cruise, weather permitting, but always has the final say on anything affecting safety, keeping to safe ports, and returning the yacht on time.
How much time will we spend sailing each day?
Cruising is kept to an average of about four hours a day within the agreed area, though the skipper may happily extend this at their discretion or if you arrange it together.
Can I bring pets aboard?
Pets and other animals can only be brought aboard with our written consent, so please ask us in advance.
What happens in bad weather?
For your safety the skipper may stay in a sheltered port when winds reach 6 to 7 Beaufort, and must shelter at 7 to 8 Beaufort. If the yacht can't move due to severe weather, this is part of sailing and no refund applies, though we'll always do our best for you.
Can we use the watersports equipment freely?
You're welcome to enjoy the watersports gear, but the skipper may restrict its use if someone isn't competent with it, is acting irresponsibly, or isn't being mindful of others nearby.
When is the best time to sail in Greece?
April–October, hot and dry with the strong northerly Meltemi wind peaking in July–August, especially across the Cyclades.
