Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The yacht has an all-risk policy with a deductible equal to the security deposit, plus compulsory third-party liability cover for involuntary damage to third parties during navigation. The policy does not cover loss of or damage to belongings of the charterer or passengers.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~60 HP engines burn roughly 4.8 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 101 L ≈ €197 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.

The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).

Animals are not allowed on board unless we have authorised it beforehand, so please ask us before you book.

The boat is for you and your listed crew only, so no carrying paying passengers or commercial use. Regattas, towing or being towed (except in an emergency), water skiing and carrying windsurf, surf, kite or canoe gear are not allowed.

Our recommended sailing area covers the Eolian Islands, the Egadi Islands and the coast of Sicily. If you want to go beyond it, you need our written authorisation and up-to-date charts for that area.

You must not sail in conditions worse than Beaufort force 5, even if the forecast looked better when you set out. Please follow the maritime authorities' restrictions and plan your route so you can get back on time, allowing for weather delays.

Tell us immediately and do not start any repairs without our written authorisation. If a key navigation system fails through no fault of yours and you lose more than 12 consecutive hours, we credit the lost hours as a credit note. Keep in mind that assistance and repairs are only arranged between 08:00 and 20:00.
