Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Compulsory and all-risk vessel insurance included in rental price with deductibles equal to deposit. Insurance covers third party liability, fire, explosion, theft, natural disasters, marina collisions.

Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. At a typical planing cruise this boat's 200 HP engine burn roughly 30 L/h — about €56 an hour at €1.87/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.

At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

Your navigation area depends on the boat's registration, up to 3 or 6 nautical miles from the coast or an island, and sailing is only allowed within Croatian territorial waters. We may further limit the area for reasons such as weather.

No. Sailing after sunset is permanently prohibited, as is sailing in unfavourable conditions. Please plan your days so the boat is safely moored or anchored before dark.

Fishing, hunting marine life, and diving are not permitted unless you hold the appropriate legal permits and have our written permission. Please ask us in advance if you plan any of these.

Pets such as dogs, cats and birds are not allowed unless we have granted special permission, so please check with us before booking.

Yes. If we have doubts about the skipper's knowledge and skills at pick-up, we may carry out an on-the-spot check or a test ride. If the skipper is found unsuitable, departure may be prevented and you can propose another skipper or hire ours.

May–October, with the most reliable maestral winds and warm seas in June–September; July–August are the hottest and busiest.
