Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: The Lessor insures the yacht for the whole charter period against customary navigational risks (including special average and all-risks) and third-party claims. Copies of the policies are provided for inspection before embarkation.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~45 HP engine burns roughly 3.6 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 76 L ≈ €148 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.

The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).

Animals are only allowed with our specific consent, so please ask us before you book and get the go-ahead. Bringing a pet without permission isn't allowed.

The yacht is for pleasure cruising only within the agreed cruising area, so no carrying paying passengers or goods and no trading. Regattas, competitions and dangerous water sports need our written approval. Illegal drugs, weapons and sailing in conflict zones are never allowed.

We can't be held responsible for delays or interruptions caused by bad weather or port authority orders, and the charter stays in effect even if you can't leave port for days. For safety, the skipper must not leave port in conditions above Beaufort force 6, or must head for the nearest safe port if already under way.

Your skipper must be approved by us, and we may ask for proof of qualifications to command this yacht. If we judge their competence insufficient for the boat or for safety, we can ask you to arrange a replacement.

Tell us immediately about any damage, breakdown or accident, and don't carry out repairs without our authorisation. If the boat is unusable for more than 48 consecutive hours through no fault of yours, the charter fee is suspended for that time. A longer breakdown can entitle you to end the charter with a pro-rata refund.

May–October, warm and settled in summer; July–August are hottest and busiest, with afternoon thermal breezes common.
