About this boat
The maestral fills in around midday and fades by evening, so the sailing is easy to plan, with short hops between harbours and a town quay for most nights. There's room for everyone to spread out, and tavernas ashore.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: All vessels are hull insured and carry policies covering damage to persons and third parties. Insurance does not cover the client's personal property or items brought on board, deliberately caused damage, or damage caused by the client's lack of diligence.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~57 HP engine burns roughly 4.6 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 97 L ≈ €181 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Can I bring my dog or other pet on board?
Pets are only allowed with our written consent, so please ask us before you book. Don't bring an animal aboard without that approval.
Can I sail at night or race the boat?
Night sailing, sailing single-handed and joining regattas or competitions all need our prior consent. The boat can't be used commercially or handed over to anyone else, and fishing or underwater activities need a valid licence.
What if the weather turns bad during my trip?
Please don't leave port if the forecast wind is above 25 knots or the port authorities have banned departures. In gale-force conditions, tell the base manager where you are. Bad weather doesn't excuse a late return, so keep the boat within about 40 NM of the base two days before the end.
Where am I allowed to sail?
The standard area is Croatian territorial waters, as listed in the boat's registration papers. If you want to go further, tell us before booking is confirmed so we can arrange extra insurance and registration at your cost. Repairs outside Croatian waters are your own responsibility.
What happens if my skipper skills aren't up to the boat?
We may ask you or your skipper to show your navigation skills at check-in, and that time counts as charter time. If we feel more experience is needed, we'll assign a professional skipper at the price-list rate. If you refuse that skipper, you can't sail and the paid amount is kept.
