About this boat

From Dubrovnik, the maestral fills in gently by midday, and short hops between sheltered islands suit a big group happy to reach a town quay each evening. The flybridge gives everyone room to spread out, while radar adds an easy margin for less experienced hands aboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The charter company insures the yacht with hull (Kasko) insurance for the vessel's market value including fittings, with an excess (participation in damage) equal to the charter deposit.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~90 HP engines burn roughly 7.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 151 L ≈ €282 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Are there limits on how I can use the boat?
Yes. You can't use the yacht for commercial passenger transport, sublet it, or enter sporting competitions without authorization. Towing another craft is only allowed in an emergency.
Can I sail at night?
Only in good visibility and good weather conditions. Otherwise we ask you to plan your sailing for daylight hours.
Where am I allowed to sail?
Unless we agree otherwise, you can sail within Croatian national waters. Please stay within sea-lanes and out of any restricted areas.
What if I don't have enough sailing experience?
By signing the contract you confirm you have a sailing certificate and the seamanship skills to handle a yacht at sea. If you don't, you'll need to appoint a captain who also signs the charter contract.
What happens if bad weather delays my return, or I return late?
You're responsible for returning on time whatever the weather, so plan your route to reach the home port with some margin. If you're running late, let us know right away and wait for our instructions. Late returns are charged at 2% of the weekly rate per full hour (up to 12 hours), and double the daily price for each full day overdue.
