Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Owner insures yacht to give charterer coverage minus deductible against liability and damage to yacht (except lost or stolen equipment), theft and burglary. Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~114 HP engines burn roughly 9.1 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 191 L ≈ €334 at €1.75/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.

Crew List must be completely filled and handed to owner 14 days before charter begins at latest.

Sailing is limited to Cuban national waters, which may not be left under any circumstances, and the restricted area off Playa Giron (Bay of Pigs) must be strictly avoided. Only people on the officially approved crew list may come aboard.

At night or in poor visibility you may only navigate seaward of the 10-metre depth contour or in marked, lighted channels. Night cruising inside reef areas is not allowed.

If there is any elevated risk of a tropical storm or similar, you must follow the base's instructions exactly regarding routes and the choice of ports or hurricane-safe anchorages.

Please send the fully completed crew list at least 14 days before your charter begins, so local permissions can be arranged in time. If a crew member is denied permission to sail in Cuban waters, that does not allow cancellation of the whole charter.

The yacht is for leisure use only, within all navigation and customs rules. Trade, professional fishing, transport, racing, and lending or subletting to others are not permitted, and you must not exceed the maximum number of people the yacht is equipped for.
