About this boat

Short hops between close-set Saronic islands suit a big group happy to swap decks for tavernas each evening rather than long days at sea. The rigid dinghy makes shore runs easy, and the wide, stable deck gives everyone room to spread out through the heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: The Owner insures the yacht and equipment against fire, marine and collision risks, third party damage and any loss or damage in excess of 2000 euro.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~80 HP engines burn roughly 6.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 134 L ≈ €261 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not personally — this boat requires a skipper, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Can I sail at night or use the boat for racing or towing?
No. Night sailing is not allowed except in an emergency. The boat is for private pleasure only, so racing, regattas, professional crew training and subletting are not permitted. Towing is only allowed in an emergency, and only with our written consent.
Where am I allowed to sail?
You can cruise the Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades. The Ionian Sea is possible only in some cases with our written consent. Sailing to Crete or within the Cretan Sea is not allowed, and you must stay within Greek waters.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
You must not leave a port or anchorage if the wind is, or is forecast to be, above Beaufort 6, or if the harbour authorities ban sailing. Weather does not excuse a late return, so late-return charges still apply. We may also set sailing limits or ask you to moor or return to base if conditions require it.
What sailing experience does my crew need?
You need at least one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member aboard. We may ask you to demonstrate your competence at sea with one of our representatives on board. If the skipper or crew fall short, we may restrict your sailing area, add a seaman at your expense, or end the charter without a refund.
What if something breaks during my charter?
Contact us straight away. We will provide assistance within 24 hours, unless it is a public holiday and a part must be ordered. Do not arrange repairs without our consent, and report any damage or accident immediately, because unreported damage may not be covered by insurance.
